the product line started by accident when my son was about three. i was opening Christmas cards in his room one night while putting him down. it was the '90s, and confetti was very popular to include in greeting cards. remember??! some santa confetti fell on the floor and when he woke in the morning, he proclaimed that santa had visited to make sure that he had been a good boy and left a magical gift of "santa dust"! his imagination and creativity inspired me ... seeing his delight and wonderment was pure magic.
my husband and i continued the santa dust tradition with our family and friends and we still celebrate santa dust tradtion for sentimental reasons!
and with that...every opportunity i could, i would celebrate the special little moments with confetti.
the tooth fairy just couldn't leave money ... she had to be more magical. so i would leave a trail of confetti from the window to their beds. with a bedtime story, there had to be a little sprinkle to welcome in sweet dreams. a birthday morning was welcomed with confetti sprinkles.
kids love sparkly confetti ... and we all love a memorable celebration!
what I love about the sprinkles product line is that the possibilities of the rites and rituals are endless, the stories to create ... plentiful. with my youngest, who is so close to realizing that the tooth fairy, santa claus and easter bunny are in mommy's and daddy's hearts (a sad moment), i find myself looking for ways to continue the magic and the twinkle.
